Kelly Black is a self-taught nature photographer who credits to God her passion and gift of capturing images of His beauty in nature, wildlife and people.

By profession, Kelly is a nurse. Born and raised in Colorado, she has always enjoyed being in the wilderness. As a child, she looked forward to rising early in the morning for weekend family trips to the mountains or lakes. The longing for peace and tranquility in God's beautiful places has always been in her heart. Now, she has been blessed with the privilege of living and working in one of the most beautiful areas in Colorado, surrounded by high mountain peaks, rivers, canyons and lakes: a photographer's paradise.

Kelly became dedicated to expressing through her camera her passion for God's creations in summer of 2006. She has never taken a formal course, although is thankful for many resources in the form of instructional books and videos and the internet, information from which she applies and practices in the field.

"Captured by Grace Photography" symbolizes her praise to God in being captured by His saving grace and also the means by which her images are captured: It is only by His grace and guidance that her feet take her to the place where an image is to be made, her eyes to see His marvelous and wondrous works in that place, and her hands to operate the camera in hopes of making that one special image that will bless someone's life. It is her hope and prayer that those who see these images will be blessed with the love and grace of God.
