"Mendenhall Glacier"

Located just 12 miles outside of Juneau. The glacier itself is about 12 miles long, 1.5 miles wide, & 100 feet high. Its source is the Juneau icefield, which extends from north of Juneau to the border of British Columbia, Canada. The Mendenhall Glacier is a receding glacier, which means it "calves" off big pieces of ice, called icebergs.
